PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Last night I had a wonderful conversation with Otis Anderson. As we talked he shared with me something that he uses to teach kids how to make good decisions. He calls this teaching PATD-Pay Attention To Detail. PATD revolves around being prudent which consists of 4 things:

1. Discretion-having an understanding of the right thing to do.

2. Circumspection-Knowing how to act. Will be different for men

3. Foresight-Looking ahead and making a decision to do or not do something.

4. Forethought-This is developing a plan on how you will make a decision that may come your way throughout the day. This is where paying attention to detail is most important.
