Knoxville over Illini West

The Knoxville High School girls basketball team evened its season record at 1-1 by beating Illini West 58-35 on Thursday in the Galesburg Thanksgiving Tournament.
The Blue Bullets jumped to a 15-2 lead at the quarter and led 24-7 at the half.
"We played tremendous defense tonight," said Knoxville coach Matt Gibson. "For 2 1/2 quarters we played unbelievable defense.
"We played awfully hard and I just can't say enough about our defense."
Kelly Lenz scored 18 points to lead Knoxville. Tess Jones scored 15 annd Morgan Mason 11.
