Captains for 2012-13

Our players selected captains for 2012-13 season. They will be Allison Mangieri, Chloe Anderson, Rainee Sibley, and Jessica Lieber. It is unusual for us to have four captains. But these four girls certainly will be very good captains. When we counted the votes, we as coaches were very excited to see the near unanimous vote of our players. All four of these players have already shown strong leadership skills. Whether we win or lose next year, I have a feeling our team will have strong chemistry with these four as our leaders.

When I let them know they would be captains, I let them know I thought there first job this off-season was to help new players understand the work ethic, commitment, and intensity needed to play and succeed on the varsity level. Whether it is some incoming freshmen, next year's sophs, or rising juniors next year- the job is to get everyone on the same page.
