The Chargers charged but the Knights stood strong Monday night as the Richwoods girls basketball team held off visiting Champaign Centennial for a 46-40, nonconference victory.
Breana Baker scored a team-high 13 to lead the Knights (16-3),who built a 38-25 lead early in the fourth before the Chargers rallied to pull within four.
Chelsea Cross scored eight of her game-high 16 points during that stretch to lead Centennial, which suffered just its second loss of the season in 18 games.
Maggie and Gabby Cunningham added 10 points apiece for Richwoods.
