Don Robinson- West Carroll Legend

West Carroll HS is a consolidation of Savanna, Mt.Carroll, and Thomson. As I mentioned in earlier blog, Dennis Radabaugh led the state of Illinois in scoring at Savanna. Don Robinson led the state of Illinois in scoring in 1972 while playing for Thomson. So the new West Carroll HS is probably one of the few schools in Illinois who can claim they had two different players lead the state in scoring.



Don Robinson has been a long time girls basketball coach at Prophetstown High School. He now has well over 500 wins. I got connected with him when his daughters attended Knox Basketball Camps, and then he brought his teams down for our summer tourneys. They are always one of the best small schools in northern Illinois. I have tried to get him to do an interview but he is very, very humble. So for now, this is the best I can do, it is the Dispatch article on Prophetstown winning their Regional.
