We are in the start of a very tough part of our schedule- Normal West, Morton, Rock Island, U-High, Centennial, and UTHS. This is probably the toughest stretch of our schedule of the year.

We have had some big wins against teams who have been rated at some point in state polls- Rock Island, Peoria Central, Peoria Notre Dame, Maine South, Effingham, Teutopolis, and Moline.



A year ago we were 13-8 on our way to a 17-14 season. This year with 18 wins we have already topped that mark. There are only 5 other teams in GHS history with a better record thru 21 games-
1999-  21-0  (went on to 33-2 and second in state)
1997-  21-0  (finished regular season undefeated, went on to fourth in state and 33-2)
1995-  20-1  (29-3)
2000-  19-2  (34-4)
2004-  19-2  (29-4)

So regardless of how our season turns out, this year's group is in some pretty heady company! Seven other teams started out at 18-3  (1980, 1989, 1993, 1994, 1998, 2003, 2007).
