To the average person it probably doesn't make sense to say we need these three so we will have fifteen players ready to play at Charleston. But the value is that we can in situations go to a 15 player rotation which then allows each player to play one shift and sit two shifts. That makes us a lot more aggressive, and it also can help us as we play 4 games in three days. We think these three extra players may give us the freshness to play well on the third day in our fourth game.
And it is exciting to have these three join us as we think they are going to be very important to us next year on the varsity level.
Thursday we will again practice at Knox College. Three of our four games at Charleston will be played at EIU on a college court. College courts are 94 feet while high school courts are 84 feet. It is helpful for us to be able to practice on the longer court and get used to the spacing for our full court presses.
We will not be practicing on Friday or Saturday. We will have a shoot around on Sunday and then leave early Sunday evening for Mattoon where we will be staying. We will open up vs. Effingham on Monday morning at 11:00am.
