2013 Spring & Summer Programs


2013 Spring Academy- Wicall Gym at GHS.  An opportunity to work on their basketball skills. We will devote the time to working on improving players dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. Junior high players will work on GHS team skills also. Players do not need to attend each session. Players should not attend if it conflicts with any of their school teams.

Academy for Grades 1st thru 6th (Grade in 2012-3)- 5:30-6:45pm on Mondays & Wednesdays- April 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24.

Academy for Grade 7-8th  (Grade in 2012-3)- 6:45-8:00pm on Mondays & Wednesdays- April 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24.

 
2013 Shooting School- Thiel Gym at GHS.  Players must be enrolled in the Spring Academy to attend Shooting School.

Shooting School- Grades 4th-8th (Grade This Year)- 4:30-6:00pm on Sundays- April 7, 14, 21, 28.

 

2013 Summer Camp -An opportunity to work on basic basketball skills. The program will be run by Coach Massey. HS camp will be run like high school practices. Each camper will receive a t-shirt.

Camp for 2nd thru 5th Grade (Grade in 2013-4)- 1:30-3:00pm. Monday thru Thursdays- June 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13. Camps in Wicall Gym at GHS.

Camp for 6th-8th Grade (Grade in 2013-4)- 10:30-Noon. Monday thru Thursdays- June 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13. Camps in Wicall Gym at GHS.

Camp for Freshmen & Sophomores (Grade in 2013-4)-
9:30-11:00am. Wed May 29, Thu May 30, Fri May 31 in Thiel Gym.
Noon-1:30pm-Mon June 3, Tue June 4, Wed June 5, Thu June 6, Fri June 7, Mon June 10, Tue June 11, Wed June 12, Thu June 13- in Wicall Gym

Camp for Varsity (Grade in 2013-4)- 7:30-9:30am. Wed May 29, Thu May 30, Fri May 31, Mon June 3, Tue June 4, Wed June 5, Thu June 6, Fri June 7, Mon June 10, Tue June 11, Wed June 12, Thu June 13. Camp & Wts will continue on Mon, Tue, & Thu thru the first week of July with the time to be announced. Camp sessions will be in Thiel Gym at GHS.

 
2013 Summer League -Players must attend Streaks Camp to participate on a Summer
League team. This is an opportunity for girls going into 7-12th grades in 2013-4. They will be
placed on a team, and given their team assignment at Streaks Camp. The only “practices” they
 will have will be Streaks Camp. DEADLINE for  Summer League is April 15.

Junior High League- This is for girls who will be in 7th or 8th grade in District #205 next school
year. League for junior high players will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 4th thru June
25th.  Games will be played at Galesburg. DEADLINE for  Summer League is April 15.

High School League- This is for girls who will be attending GHS in 2013-4. Players will be
assigned to a team to match their ability level. There will be games on Tuesdays & Thursdays
from May 30 thru July 2. Some teams will play additional games on Friday, June 7 and Saturday,
June 8, as well as on Fri, June 29 and Sat June 30. DEADLINE for  Summer League is April 15.
