All-stater Medley, a two-time Central State Eight Conference Player of the Year bound for Texas Christian University next fall, certainly is the focal point of opposing defenses.
But Medley’s supporting cast is making a name for itself as well, especially starters Kelsey Hulcher, Meghan Fetter, Ashton Williams and Anika Webster.Hulcher, the only other senior on the team, and Williams, a junior, join Medley in the backcourt. Being the youngest starter, Webster said she just tried to fit in quickly.
“Everybody has certain roles and I try to do the best I can do to help my team out,” she said. “We all have specific roles to help our team. I just tried to get as much as I could from all the players. They have a lot more experience than I have, so I try to learn all I can from them.”

The Senators (28-4) will face Salem (29-4) at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Springfield Supersectional at The Recreation and Athletic Center on the UIS campus with a berth to the Class 3A state tournament on the line.
