As we get ready for the Holidays, I have asked the players about some of their favorite memories and what they look forward to. First up is Allison Mangieri with her “Italian Christmas.”
When you were little, what was your favorite winter snow activities- what did you like to do when it snowed?
When I was little, my siblings and I would pack snow onto our back steps and sled down the steps. Also, we would attempt to make igloos, but never finished. When it snowed it was a must to drink hot chocolate and watch the snow fall from our big window at the front of our house.
Basketball takes up lots of time, but if you had time off now for a week-- which would you rather do-- go someplace warm for a week and be at a beach or go somewhere you could ski for a week?

When you were 4 or 5 years old, what would you have preferred to have gotten for Xmas--
Dolls and a kitchen set.
What are some of your favorite Holiday memories?
-When my youngest sister screamed at the top of her lungs when she unwrapped her 6ft tall doll house last christmas.
-Going to bed at 6 pm on christmas eve so us kids could unwrap presents the next morning as early as possible. We also "camped out" in someones room too.
-All the FOOD.
-Sprinkling "reindeer food" outside on christmas eve and leaving milk n cookies for santa!
When it comes to Holiday food- who is someone that fixes something that you really, really like?
Mom's spaghetti & meatballs, Dad's ham and lasagna, and Anne Foster's mud dip.
What would be your perfect Xmas dinner?
Spaghetti & meatballs, salad, bread, lasagna, ham, and mashed potatoes.
Today, what is your favorite Xmas gift?

I hope each game we play, we play HARD and with energy. No more "roller coaster" games.
