Late we were able to tie the game a couple time but never had the ball with the game tied. Trailing 59-57 with under 30 seconds to go, they missed the front end of a 1+1, but we gave up the offensive rebound fouled again, and then it was a two possession game the rest of the night.
Our defense was not able to make the game a full court game, and their half court defense made it tough for us to score.
Our defense did not have the same zip it did last week. We seemed a step slow and much of the game unaggressive. In the style we are playing we must make the "hustle plays," which we did not--
12 offensive rebounds was our lowest total in the last three years.
10 of our players had 1 or fewer o-rebs.
8 of our players had 1 or fewer steals.
In terms of "system goals", we failed to reach any of the goals tonight. I don't think that has ever happened to us--

Sadee Hamilton led us with 21 points, while Jessica Lieber had 20. No one else was in double figures. Sadee had 8 rebounds to lead us.
Practice tomorrow, chance to regroup. Good teams take early season losses and use them to learn and to grow. I am confident our kids will.
