Streaks Big 4th Q Result in Win

Galesburg struggled offensively tonight. We had 18 turnovers, most of which were unforced turnovers. A burst before half gave GHS a 30-25 half-time lead. The third q was a low scoring affair with both teams managing only 9 points. But the Streaks had a good fourth q for the second night in a row with a 24-10 score.

Myra Diggins had an outstanding night for us, as she got a total of 12 rebounds. Rainee Sibley (4), Sharron Diggins (3), and Casey Williams (3) did an outstanding job defensively. Freshmen Casey Williams had her best game yet. She had 3 steals, 8 rebounds, and hit a huge three point shot. Casey's competitiveness and intensity will make her a fun player to watch.



Tonight was our first night of "Cheeseburgers in Paradise." The Streaks managed to get 13 threes for the game. They were led by Sharron Diggins (5), Jessica Lieber (4), and Allison Mangieri (2).

The Streaks will play #3 rated Springfield Saturday night at 7:30pm. Friday night Springfield defeated Metamora 67-25. Medley and Williams both had 21 points in this game. In other action on Friday, Alleman defeated Illini West, and LeRoy defeated Dunlap 51-42.
