Getting off to a 4-0 start is certainly exciting. We feel this group worked hard in the off-season.

So the question is, what is the best start for a Galesburg team?

The 1999 team won their first 27 games before losing the last regular season game at Quincy. That team then went on to win out in the tourney until losing to Marshall in the State Championship game. Impressive but...



The 1997 team won their first 33 games, losing in the State semi-final game to Taylorville. They then took fourth in State.
