Streaks Beat Dunlap

Dunlap has had an up and down season. At our Thanksgiving Tourney they looked great. They went 4-1 and won some big games (we did not play them). Then they stumbled at the Dixon Tourney losing 3 of 4 games. And in the last couple weeks they have had great games and then lost some bad games. We caught them playing well.

In the first half we were a weak 23% from the field, including shooting 3 of 23 for 13% from threes. On top of it, we had 10 turnovers in the first half. We definitely were not very efficient offensively. Fortunately in the second half we caught fire- played with greater intensity defensively and more organization offensively.

In second half Sadee Hamilton was 4 of 5 from the field, and Jessica Lieber was 3 of 4 from the arc. This helped push us to an 8 point lead early in the fourth quarter, and allowed us to hang on for the win. We had 7 players connect for 9 threes. This tremendous balance has been such a plus for us this year!

Streaks are now 24-5. When you consider the schedule, the girls have really been impressive.
