Top 10 Attempts to Ruin Sports

Through the years, there have been many attacks on the basic quality of sports. I am sure all of these changes were at one time viewed as something that would change and maybe destroy sports. Here is my top ten assaults on sports.
#10- Development of jump shot- no more 15 pass offenses ending in a 5'8" kid with a set shot.

#9- Fiber glass pole for vaulting- bamboo should have been kept.

#8- Spread offense in football- what are 300lb + people are going to do?

#7- Speciality closers- Rivera may pitch until he is 60.

#6- Four Corners and Phil Ford- Next thing you know they will need a shot clock.

#5- DH- It takes away that exciting "double switch."

#4- Shot Clock- When is a player to get heart rate down?

#3- Three Point Shot- It is going to open the door for Arseneault.

#2- Fosbury Flop- Real athletes use the "scissors" or the "Australian roll."

#1- Johnny Lujack & the Forward Pass- If it had not been invented Woody Hayes might not have  lost his temper and he might still be coaching. What would us Bear fans have had to complain about if your qb didn't need to pass?
